Who can apply?
Lemonaid & ChariTea e.V. awards grants to nonprofit organizations in the Global South and, more recently, to civilian maritime rescue organizations in the Central Mediterranean.

Development Assistance in the Global South
We support nonprofit organizations in seven countries in the Global South that implement projects aimed at promoting economic independence, continuing education, access to financing, and fair value chains.
We are currently supporting projects in:
+ Rwanda + South Africa + Madagascar + Mexico + Peru + India: only Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Bihar, West Bengal, Darjeeling, Sikkim + Sri Lanka
Support for Civilian Maritime Search and Rescue
Since 2025, we have been supporting nonprofit organizations in Germany that are directly or indirectly involved in rescuing people in distress at sea, primarily in the central Mediterranean. This includes both organizations that operate ships and those that support the search and rescue of people in distress at sea in other ways.
